Meet the founder.
REAL Cyber was founded by Ross Decker — a U.S. Marine Corps veteran who served as a Communications Sergeant and has spent more than 20 years helping business owners and leaders make sense of an increasingly complex security and compliance landscape.
The Marine Corps gave Ross a people-first conviction that still runs the company: at the heart of every organization, whatever its size, are people — with families and full plates, who didn't sign up to become security experts. He built REAL to meet them there: to explain risk in plain English, harden the target, and help a whole team learn to stay vigilant — without fear or jargon.

Our story
Why we built REAL.
We built REAL around a simple observation: the practices that need cybersecurity and compliance support most — small dental, medical, and veterinary clinics — are the ones most often left behind by enterprise IT firms. The math doesn't work for big MSPs: too small to be lucrative, too compliance-heavy to be simple. We built REAL specifically for that gap.
Today, REAL is a full team — engineers, compliance specialists, and a help desk that picks up the phone — quietly running IT, cybersecurity, and HIPAA programs for clinics across Kentucky, Indiana, and the broader Ohio Valley. We don't chase enterprise contracts. We exist to do this one thing, extremely well, for the practices that we know best.
